Our cats are welcomed throughout the house,
living with us underfoot. They are socialized and nurtured by our pets,
grandchildren, and visitors. With such constant and loving attention, we
believe they become exquisite pets. (See Cats in New
Homes for pictures of cats who have embarked on their new lives outside
the cattery.)

The cattery is carefully maintained to assure a clean, healthy, and safe environment.
The health of all animals is carefully monitored, and everyone makes regular
visits to our local veterinarian. Kittens and
adult cats are handled constantly to ensure loving socialization; which we feel
is very important for their development. We place our kittens between
twelve and sixteen weeks of age. When they leave the cattery, kittens have
been vaccinated, have been tested to be FLV-negative, and have been examined
by a veterinarian to insure that they are in the best of health.
Breeding is an inexact enterprise, of course, but we do select our
cats for breeding carefully. We regularly bring new cats to the cattery to
maintain what we feel is a healthy genetic diversity. This tends to increase
the number of cats about the house, but there is enough room for everyone.
The daily census sometimes takes a little while, however.
