Although
viewing photographs of cats is an inadequate substitute for watching and
interacting with the animals themselves, they hint at the cats’
appearance and personalities. No cattery Web site could be considered
complete without its picture galleries!
Franklee Cattery is currently
breeding only
Tonkinese, although we have also bred Bombays. (Read the
CFA Breed Profile for more information on Bombays.) We therefore
have a gallery here for each breed. Click on one of the collages at the
right to view the corresponding gallery. Most of the pictures here are
formal portraits. More candid photos can be found elsewhere on this Web
site.
A word of explanation of the cat
names you see here may be helpful. The basic name of a cat is often
several words long, such as “Evening Light.” A cattery name (usually in
the possessive) prefixed to the cat’s name indicates where the cat was
bred. If the cat is now owned by another cattery, that cattery’s name,
along with the word “of” is placed at the end of the name. CFA titles
earned by the cat come before the rest of the name. Thus, GC Tangyi’s
Evening Light of FrankLee is a Grand Champion cat named Evening Light,
bred by Tangyi Cattery and owned by the FrankLee Cattery. (In
practice, this cat is simply called Eve.) A longer explanation of naming
rules can be found on the
CFA Web site.
