Tonkinese have wonderful personalities, which
makes them ideal companions. They are warm and loving, highly intelligent,
and have incredible memory. They delight in play and invent games like
fetching, tag, and hide
and
seek. Tonks will greet you upon your arrival at home, and they will delight
family and friends alike. These cats are extremely  affectionate, and they
quickly become the entertainers of your home. With their acrobatic agility
and enthusiasm for play, they can be a handful. However, at the end of the
day, they will capture your heart and soul, seeking out the comfort of your
lap and providing you with loving purrs.The Tonkinese are indoor cats.
You should cat-proof your home by making certain that screens and doors are
secure. Provide toys, cat trees, and a scratching post to ensure that cats
stay occupied. Tonks crave affection and companionship. They form close
bonds with human friends, so a Tonk is not a good choice if you are away
from home for a long period of time. Two Tonks are always better then one.
Love your cat, and the cat will return your affections a hundred times over,
thus creating a joyful experience with your new arrival.
